Jennifer was afraid of flying. Every time she boarded a plane she tightly strapped herself in and clutched her hands tightly to the seat. Her palms became sweaty and her heart palpitations increased by the minute. As the plane lifted off the runway she realized that there was nothing she could do and that there was no turning back, she had to get to her location as it could be her next big move. She simply said a silent prayer and put her faith in God.
Fear can be crippling, especially when God wants to bring us places where we've never been or cannot go without trusting Him. Many times we find ourselves immobile because of lack of faith. Think about it, too often we don't go for that job, start that new venture, travel to foreign places, or even open ourselves to love because we're afraid of disappointment, not succeeding, or walking out empty handed. In moments like this we cannot allow fear to overpower us as it only robs us of what we're destined for.
Psalms 56:3-4 reminds us to trust on God when we're afraid as He will never leave us without out alone. When we build up that kind of faith in God, we have no time to consume our minds with fearful thoughts as fear kills faith, but, rather we build up a strength and trust like no other in God, which tells God, "I love you and I know you love me perfectly." Ultimately this type of faith drives fear out the door, as perfect love casts out all fear.
Today face fear with complete faith and board the plane of life, allowing God's wings of mercy to take you wherever He wants because fear has no hold on you!
