Don't Be Defined by Others but Distinguished by Him

Have you ever fallen in love and got so caught up with that person that you lost yourself along the way?  Well if you have you're not alone. Many of us have entered into relationships where we thought only of that person morning, noon, and night. In fact many of us get hung up on our marital status: single, married, divorced, or widowed, completely forgetting who we really belong to: God. We define ourselves by who we're with or not with, instead of distinguishing ourselves by Who has set us free.

Genesis 1:26 reminds us that we are created in the image of God, but what did that mean? God's image is perfect and complete. He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit wrapped into One. Being formed in that image of wholeness, power, authority, love, grace, freedom, etc., means that we can do anything through His power and strength! Therefore when we accept Christ as our Lord and savior we too become complete: THE END.

 Too often we look to others to complete us when in actuality nobody can fill those voids we feel, but God. Today when people see you let them see the light of Jesus Christ shining through you so vividly that they too would be compelled to be attached to our Lord and Savior. Let them desire that relationship that defines who you are and distinguishes you from the rest.
